The head of the representative office of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives (ASI) in the Far East, Olga Kurilova, is in Transbaikalia on December 2.As part of her working visit, a meeting of the council to improve the investment climate in the region was held, chaired by the Governor of Transbaikalia, Alexander Osipov, to discuss investments, working conditions for entrepreneurs, as well as issues of building consistent work. Some indicators of Transbaikalia in terms of the national model of target business conditions exceeded the average for Russia.

We have ahead of you the next stages of improving the investment climate;this work will never stop.I am glad to once again welcome Olga Sergeevna Kurilova, who is providing us with invaluable assistance from the Agency for Strategic Initiatives. Our task is to see these new stages of our work, organize them correctly and, thus, improve the conditions for entrepreneurs and investors working in Transbaikalia, in order to ultimately improve the quality of life and the level of social well-being,” said the head of the region, Alexander Osipov.

As Olga Kurilova, head of the ASI representative office in the Far Eastern Federal District, clarified, some of the indicators of Transbaikalia in the field of the national model of business conditions exceeded the Russian average.

“This is a construction permit, cadastre, as well as issues related to administrative pressure. We have reversed this trend in the Trans-Baikal Territory: over the past years, two regions of the Far East - the Trans-Baikal Territory and the Amur Region - were among the last. Now these indicators are higher than the Russian average. The indicators for connecting to water supply, registering property rights and connecting to electricity networks have also been exceeded - they are above the national average. That is, we are going with you in the right direction,” Olga Kurilova clarified.

I.o.Deputy Chairman of the Regional Government Pavel Volkov, talking about plans for the coming years, noted that the main task is to reduce administrative pressure on business, which will have a positive impact on business activity in Transbaikalia.

Separately, Pavel Volkov touched upon the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), in particular the development of creative industries.According to the actingDeputy Chairman of the regional government, special attention is paid to the creative potential of youth in order to direct it to the development of the region. In addition, export support is provided: the Export Support Center of the Trans-Baikal Territory has planned events aimed at expanding the coverage of SMEs - on-site seminars in the regions of the Trans-Baikal Territory, online seminars and business missions abroad.

Note that the Agency for Strategic Initiatives evaluates Transbaikalia according to the indicators of the national rating “Investment Standard”.As Deputy Prime Minister of the regional government Buyanto Batomunkueva previously noted, the region continues to work to create a favorable investment climate and support infrastructure investment projects. This is necessary to create an economy favorable to the lives of Transbaikal residents. The region is assessed by the increase in the number of small and medium-sized businesses operating in the territory of the municipality, the quality and availability of financial support, and indicators in the field of land relations.

On behalf of the President of Russia, the Agency for Strategic Initiatives provides methodological assistance to the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on issues of family support, fertility, and large families.Based on the results of design and analytical sessions with the management team and experts of the region, a final plan of specific activities is formed to set up regulations, support measures and practices aimed at strengthening the family, the birth and upbringing of children in families.

Also, on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation, the Agency systematically implements programs on family and demography issues, support for pregnant women, young and large families, and also develops proposals for improving government policy.Previously, design and analytical sessions on improving family support programs, fertility and large families of the ASI were held in Vladivostok, Irkutsk, Kaliningrad, Lipetsk, Khabarovsk, Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Blagoveshchensk, Kemerovo, Ulan-Ude, Tver, the Republic of Mordovia and other regions of Russia.
