The Trans-Baikal Territory is demonstrating sustainable financial growth, significantly strengthening the regional budget.Over the past five years, the revenue side of the region's consolidated budget has shown a steady rise, ranking third in terms of growth among the constituent entities of the Far East.

“In 2025, the region’s own income for the first time exceeded the mark of 100 billion rubles, reaching 108 billion. This is more than 2.2 times higher than in 2021, when revenues amounted to 48.6 billion rubles,” said Vera Antropova, Minister of Finance of the Trans-Baikal Territory.

“A significant improvement in the state of the regional budget, which in relation to the Trans-Baikal Territory cannot but rejoice. From 2021 to 2025, revenues increased by 75 billion. And it is very important that the debt burden decreased from 57% to 27% - by 2 times,” said Russian Minister for the Development of the Far East and Arctic Alexey Chikunkov.

“Despite the fact that Transbaikalia occupies an average position in attracting investments in the Far East, taking into account the initial conditions, this result can be considered good. The industrial production index of the region grew by 4.6% at the end of 2025 - this is a high rate,” emphasized Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Russian Federation, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev.
