Yuri Trutnev: The Russian-Chinese EXPO is an important and useful platform for the development of bilateral relations

In Harbin, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev and Deputy Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Zhang Guoqing opened the X Russian-Chinese EXPO, which has become an important trade and industrial platform promoting the expansion and diversification of the partnership between the two countries.Yuri Trutnev read a greeting from Russian President Vladimir Putin to the participants and organizers of the event.Zhang Guoqing voiced greetings from Chinese President Xi Jinping.

After the opening ceremony, Yuri Trutnev and Zhang Guoqing walked around a number of stands of the Chinese and Russian exposition.

“The Russian-Chinese EXPO is an important and useful platform for the development of bilateral relations.The Russian part of this year's exhibition is balanced.Domestic equipment, including helicopters, is presented, and technological achievements are shown.We must continue interaction between our countries and exchange technologies.Because they are the ones who create the opportunity for the development of milking countries in the modern world,” said Yuri Trutnev.

The EXPO is supported by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, organized by the Chinese side - the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China, the People's Government of Heilongjiang Province.

This year the total area of the Russian-Chinese exhibition exposition was 12 thousand square meters.meters.The area of ​​the Russian part is 4.5 thousand square meters.meters, within which 250 organizations are represented.Among them are leading Russian companies, including VTB, Rostec Group and Alfa-Bank.Also at the Russian part of the exposition, 16 Russian regions are represented: Amur, Arkhangelsk, Murmansk, Ryazan, Sverdlovsk, Tver regions, the city of Moscow, Transbaikal, Kamchatka, Khabarovsk, Primorsky Territories, the Republic of Buryatia, Komi, Sakha (Yakutia), Tatarstan, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug-Yugra.Pavilions of Chinese provinces and stands of Russian and Chinese companies are presented.Products were brought to the “Made in Russia” festival-fair by the Sakhalin Region and the Jewish Autonomous Region.The partner region of the exhibition on the Russian side was the city of Moscow, and on the Chinese side - the provinces of Guangdong and Jiangxi.

Within the Russian exposition, special attention is paid to the production of folk arts and crafts, which are presented at the collective exposition “Culture and Traditions: Treasures of Russia” formed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, as well as at the stands of the National Center “Russia”, the Imperial Porcelain Factory and as part of the festival-fair of Russian goods “Made in Russia”, organized by the Russian Export Center.Also, the Russian Export Center has created an exposition, within which more than a hundred Russian manufacturers of agribusiness, cosmetics, consumer goods, and jewelry are involved and will present their goods.At the stands of Russian regions, in addition to current products with export potential, participants and visitors are invited to familiarize themselves with Russian vocational education programs.

Among others, Yuri Trutnev inspected the pavilions of the Far Eastern regions.Participants from the Trans-Baikal Territory were companies representing the export, tourism and investment potential of the region.

“Participation in the Russian-Chinese EXPO in Harbin is a strategic opportunity for the Trans-Baikal Territory to directly present our industrial, tourism and export potential to Chinese partners.Our collective stand brings together regional brands, such as mineral water and products from wild plants, and new promising niches - from hemostatic agents to environmentally friendly textile products.We focus on practical results: negotiations, search for counterparties and sales channels for small and medium-sized businesses in the region.I am confident that we will find new points of convergence of interests and this will give impetus to joint projects in cross-border trade and tourism,” says Governor of the Trans-Baikal Territory Alexander Osipov.

The EXPO business program includes 14 events.The central event of the first day will be the Sixth Russian-Chinese Forum on Interregional Cooperation, dedicated to the development of practical interaction between the regions of Russia and the provinces of China.

In addition to the business program, within the framework of the EXPO in Harbin there will be a rich cultural program aimed at strengthening humanitarian ties between Russia and China.From May 19 to 20, the Days of Moscow will take place in Harbin, including cultural, sports and business events dedicated to the development of cooperation between the Russian capital and Chinese regions.From May 17 to 21, a festival-fair of Russian goods “Made in Russia” will be held.Guests of the festival will be able to get acquainted with Russian products, gastronomic traditions and folk arts and crafts, as well as take part in tastings, master classes and cultural events.
